After reading about Ellis Island and the immigration into America in the last century, what do you think of their current policy on immigration with the new president?

Is it a country’s duty to help immigrants come into the country?
How does immigrating to another country affect families?
To what extent is there racism towards immigrants?
What are the possible reasons for people to migrate between countries?
What problems can appear after immigration?
What disadvantages do immigrants face?
How has immigration developed over the last 100 years in Belgium?
What impact does it have on our society? (EU, individual country, cities, etc.)
To what extent should we put up barriers to stop immigration?
Why do some people agree that putting up walls is a good idea to stop immigration?
